Cairns Wedding Photographer / Jen + Scott's Wedding / Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal
I loved photographing and being a part of this wedding as it was a celebration that followed Jen and Scott's own dreams not what popular culture present to us for a wedding.
Jen and Scott's wedding celebrations came together to be a relaxed and warm day reflecting this lovely couple's immense love and respect for each other. I was touched by how this special couple cared for each other so much that they had thoughtfully accommodated the other's dreams into the day. The day was a beautiful fusion of what both parties wanted.
They chose the modern and funky Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal for their ceremony and reception. The Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal is a beautifully restored, heritage listed wharf shed. In recent years it was transformed into a modern facility offering practicality and style for weddings and events. The Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal is ideally positioned for a summer wedding being right on the waterfront along the Cairns Esplanade and catching some pleasant through breezes. One of the function spaces is aptly named "The Breezeway".
It was serendipitous that Jen loved yellow and I had discovered a field of yellow Singapore Daisies in the lead up to Jen and Scott's wedding. Singapore daisies are a weed and pest to some but to a wedding photographer....they make a very exciting and gorgeous backdrop. I guess it is a case of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
The Wedding Celebrant, Marty, from Vows and Kisses did a very appropriate ceremony for this lovely couple. Marty offers a very fresh approach to marriage ceremonies: www.vowsandkisses.com.au
This very kind and caring couple are embarking on a number of new adventures together. I wish them much health and happiness for their lives ahead.
