Cairns Wedding Photography / Kimberley + Keith 's Wedding
Kimberley and Keith were surrounded by many people who
support and love them for their wedding celebrations in Cairns. Many of their family and friends travelled
from the Torres Strait Islands to celebrate their commitment of marriage. The effort people went to is tribute to how
special Kimberley and Keith are to so many people. There were close to 300 guests.
Kimberley and Keith chose to have their wedding ceremony on the pool deck of The Pullman Hotel, Cairns. It is a gorgeous location for a wedding ceremony overlooking the Trinity Inlet of Cairns. The ceremony was extra special as Keith’s Uncle was there to perform it.
There were tears of emotion early in the day as Kimberley said goodbye to being a Baira in a traditional cultural ceremony.
At the reception everyone was in festive spirits and the celebrations included vibrant and lively traditional dancing. A lady playing a tin led the beat for the dancers. The tradition dancing was great for everyone to watch including myself. Some of the younger members in the community joined in impromptu and followed the more experienced dancers.
I wish this very lovely couple and their children many happy and healthy years together
