From the moment I first spoke to Rachel I felt like I was chatting to an old friend. She has such a warm, calm and happy presence. It is totally understandable that Simon fell in love with the “gorgeous girl next door” literally. Rachel and Simon were neighbours before they were anything further and their relationship took a steady progression to friends and then partners. Now they have a gorgeous son, Carter and in the words of Simon, “the rest is history”. I was fortunate to be invited into their lives to photograph their very special wedding day.
Jokingly at the wedding, Rachel’s sister teased Rachel of using her model long legs to climb the fence to visit her neighbour….lucky she did! These two are so cute together and seem like best mates. They are wonderful parents to Carter and hold inspiring family values. Both really cherish family and great connections with their family.
Both Rachel and Simon have experienced loss of loved ones in the past. This has made them the beautiful people they are today. I admire how they both really value time with those they love and cherish each other and their son, not taking anything that is important for granted.
There was a lovely quote used in one of the speeches at Rachel and Simon's wedding...... "to some people they may seem like the simple things, but to Rachel and Simon, these are the important things in life".
I wish this gorgeous little family of three (for now ;) ) good health and happiness for all the years to come.
